Comprised of exceptionally talented artists, Tega-Tega is a brand new UK based African outfit made up of professional musicians mainly from Zimbabwe. The band’s lead vocalist Tsungai Tsikirai is a multi-talented, recording artist and she has worked with big artists such as Andy Brown, Albert Nyathi and on different projects such as Free to Worship and Breaking Boundaries Community. Munya Hapaz is a professional keyboard player who over the years has played Gospel and Circular music. Hapaz has worked with big names such as Tanga wekwa Sando, Obert Mazivisa and Busi Ncube). Jo Oware is the group’s lead guitarist and he has worked with popular artists from Ghana, back home and abroad. Jo has worked with the likes of Benjamin Dube from South Africa. Yusuf is a seasoned percussionist and has shared the stage with Hugh Masekela, Youssou N'Dour, Salif Keita and Miriam Makeba amongst others. The group’s bass guitarist and vocalist is RasGoodies, a singer song writer who has also worked with numerous artists on and off the stage including Don Gumbo, Andy Brown, Busi Ncube, Banjo Mosele and Duncan Senyatso. Pride Mudzudzu is the band’s drummer who is full of energy that brings the band to life with the amazing rhythms. The group plays Afro-ethnic Rhythms fused with some Western styles and most of their influences include Oliver Mutukudzi, Miriam Makeba, Brenda Fassie, Ilanga, Sibongile Khumalo, Chiwoneso Maraire, Bongo Mafin and Bhundu boys.
